The city has a population of 6,329 people and is positioned on a total area of 9.01 square miles of which 0.02 square miles is water. The city is home to a variety of events and sites that are a must to visit.
The city hosts the Black Patch Festival in its downtown area every year in September. Locals set up stalls and booths to attract visitors. Almost 65 booths are present at the festival and offer a variety of games and activities for children and adults alike. The flagship highlight of the festival is the Gospel concert which is held at the Princeton First Baptist Church every year.
Princeton is no exception when it comes to offering a chance to explore the great outdoors. The Big Spring Park, owned by the city, is a natural spring that flows from a cave that lies in the downtown area. The fact that the spring is met by many trails that were used by animals and early Indians makes it a historic site as well.
A visit to the Adsmore Museum will be nothing less of a unique experience since it is the only one of its kind in the state of Kentucky. This living history museum offers visitors a glimpse into the lives of the Smith-Garrett family, and all the tours are based on the time of events that occurred in their household. These seasons are displayed all year round to reflect occasions and holidays.
The climate of Princeton ensures plenty of sunny days, so you don't have to worry about canceled plans because of the rain. The climate is warm overall with the only exceptions being in July and January when temperatures reach 89F and 26F respectively.
